Where are the women?!
No more 15mm thru-axles. Stick with the 20mm. The weight cannot be that much more.
They can't use the same metals for the clips and the catch, or it wouldn't grip like it does. They need to find metals that are more similar in durability and make the slides replaceable. Innovative nonetheless.
I buy the best product, regardless of it's country of origin. I know that most guys including myself jump around in the industry in an effort to improve their personal situation. Building carbon wheels, QC, assembly- whatever. To most, it is just a job; one that gets us cheap bikes and pays bills while doing something we enjoy. The guys over in Taiwan has workers building your frame that will never own a car. Most of those same workers construct frames for a living- just like the guys making the stuff at NAHMBS- only for much less and without the prestige. Buy whatever you want; but don't talk down on taiwanese products just because they are from Taiwan. I know I wouldn't want a motor vehicle made in N.A.
Translation: If you didn't like it you STILL won't like it. If you liked it; you will STILL like it. If you haven't tried it; you will listen to the prevailing majority. I have gripshit on an old ti bike that I use for hill biking. I have shimano and Sram on my other mtn bikes. PS: Most XC racers don't know shit about what they ride. Work as a race mechanic and you will quickly change your tune.
Given the audience, I would say SRAM chose the wrong media to preview these shifters. Aggressive AM/DH riders aren't going to be receptive to have something that twists on their handlebars. This is a product for retro-geeks, XC guys, and newbies. As promising as it looks.
Danny Hart needs some sun. Them some fast, wimpy-looking legs.
"Kind of like being married" Ha! Ronnie is a HARD-WORKING tech. He has done his share to repair Marzocchi's reputation.
Haha... sure you did.
The best part about it being a copy is the price. I like bontrager/hutchinson rubber. I love the prices. About Us
